Here are some activity packets you can use with your students on this film:

In order to form a more perfect union…Citizens for Civic Engagement invites you to an evening of inspiration and education.

That’s right, while you are becoming inspired you can also find answers to such burning questions as:
–Has the United States political system become corrupt?
–How long has the US had corruption in it’s political system?
–Is the corruption in our political system hopeless?
–Is there anything one person can do about it?

Whether you’ve seen it before, or never even heard of this Classic FIlm by Frank Capra, you owe it to yourself to come to this free screening of “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”. An engaging, moderated, discussion on these burning questions will follow the film showing.

At this juncture in our shared history, Inspiration and Motivation are sometimes hard to maintain. If you have recently (since say January 20th?) become inspired and motivated to participate in Civic Engagement, then watching this movie in the company of like minded individuals is just what you need.

Also, we hereby challenge all of Utah’s State and Federal Legislators to attend, and see if they derive inspiration and motivation thereby to provide adequate representation of the interests of their constituents.
